BAI Communications, a neutral host provider, specializing in infrastructure communications, will upgrade the communications infrastructure of the famed London underground railway system. As with other neutral host providers, it is a multi-vendor and multi-technology project. The infrastructure will include a private 5G cellular network, integrated with small cells and a DAS system. It will allow fixed and mobile operators to provide continuous 4G coverage to their customers across the London Underground stations and tunnels. In addition, the new wireless infrastructure will also be 5G ready
