Athonet, recently purchased by HPE, has deployed a private LTE network for the Antarctic Logistics and Expeditions team in Union Glacier. The network will use SapceX Starlink for backhaul. The network will make it easier for staff and visitors to the South Pole to communicate, using Push-to-Talk, emergency messaging, and VoIP.
