Caribe Royal in Orlando Goes CBRS with Geoverse

Vertical: Hospitality

Application: Communications, Operational efficiency

Ecosystem: Geoverse, Ericsson

Private Network: CBRS, LTE, Wi-Fi

Geoverse is partnering with Caribe Royal near Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida to deploy a 3.5 GHz CBRS-based neutral host network on Ericsson hardware, using General Availability Access (GAA). Caribe Royal is the area’s largest all-suites property and convention center.

Caribe Royal was looking for ways to enhance their customer experience and build upon their existing Wi-Fi network and single-carrier DAS solution, which offered uneven coverage and capacity to their guests.

The first phase of the CBRS project will see Geoverse providing indoor coverage at the expansive convention center, along with augmentation and integration with the resort’s existing Wi-Fi network. The system will be 5G-ready with subsequent updates providing the ability to handle the traffic anticipated from a major resort and conference center.
