Finding the Value to Commercialize Private 5G & Security Considerations for Private 5G Deployments

Informa private lte and 5g

What is the value that private 4G/5G networks bring to enterprises? Put another way, why should businesses research, choose, fund, deploy, and possibly manage a private cellular network? What’s in it for them? As it turns out, the answer is “quite a lot.”

telecoms.com, an Informa company, is organizing an upcoming virtual event– hosted and moderated by Ashish Jain, CEO of KAIROS Pulse and Founder of PrivateLTEand5G.com – that will answer these questions and more (more on that below).

In the ever-changing and fast-paced landscape of modern business, the demand for communication that seamlessly bridges gaps and cost-effectively guarantees security has become important and downright critical. This is where private networks step onto the stage – quietly and consistently fueling enterprises with a value that is simply unmatched. Private networks don’t merely offer a handful of advantages – they present a variety of opportunities for businesses to overcome the limitations of traditional networking, empowering enterprises with the tools needed to adapt, thrive, and lead in an era where agility and security are the cornerstones of sustained success.

Private networks offer a variety of features, including:

  • Enhanced security and data protection
  • Uninterrupted connectivity and reliability
  • Complete customization and control
  • Scalability and future-readiness
  • Cost-effectiveness

However, there are many questions that telcos can answer that will provide enterprises with the information they want in order to decide whether or not to proceed with the deployment of a private network. For example, if an enterprise already uses Wi-Fi 6, what benefits will it gain from a private LTE or 5G network? What will be the main drivers for private-public network deployments in the coming years? What is the potential return on investments? What are the tools and solutions available to manage private network security? Does migrating from legacy infrastructure to private 5G compromise electronic or physical security? Can all layers of the 5G cloud stack be secured, and is Zero-Trust the answer?

For telcos, there are also questions they’re curious about. Does a private network provide enough value to enterprises’ digital transformation without the edge? How can telcos monetize private 5G, and how can telcos compete with hyperscalers?

If you’d like to learn more about private networks’ value to enterprise, please join us for two 90-minute virtual events.

In the first, Ashish Jain, CEO of KAIROS Pulse and Founder of PrivateLTEand5G.com publication, will provide an overview of the state of the global private 5G adoption and moderate a panel of guests from the Telenor Group, Verizon Business, and iBwave to discuss the Return of Investment and monetization of private 5G. In the second session, private network security will be the focus of discussion, with speakers from Telia, the BCP Council, Tantra, and teckUK.
