Kirkland Lake Gold’s Detour Lake Mine, the second-largest gold mine in Canada, is teaming up with Rogers to provide 5G coverage over 80 square kilometers, deep into the mine, and over 180 km of highway leading to the mine. The area is largely not covered by wireless, and the new network is expected to enhance safety for travelers as well as miners.
