Quantum Wireless Elevates Connectivity at Faena Miami Beach with Private LTE Network

Hospitality Private LTE and 5G

Vertical: Hospitality

Application: Increased coverage & capacity

Ecosystem:  Quantum Wireless

Private Network: LTE

In a groundbreaking move that sets a new standard for luxury hospitality connectivity, Quantum Wireless has deployed a private network at the prestigious Faena Hotel and Faena Forum in Miami Beach. This installation comes just in time for one of the nation’s most significant sporting events, ensuring that guests, staff, and visitors will experience unparalleled wireless coverage and speed.

The centerpiece of this deployment is a high-speed, broadband cellular network complemented by a pioneering private LTE network using Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) technology. As an early adopter and member of the OnGo Alliance since 2018, Quantum Wireless has received FCC approval for this experimental deployment, positioning the Faena properties at the forefront of wireless innovation.

Key features of the new network include:

  • The CBRS network and distributed antenna system (DAS) significantly improve wireless coverage, capacity, and data speeds throughout both venues.
  • As a neutral-host network, the DAS can accommodate all major wireless carriers. The two largest U.S. carriers are already onboard, with a third set to join later in 2020.
  • Users with CBRS-capable handsets can communicate over a private, secure network, independent of public cellular and Wi-Fi systems.
  • This deployment represents one of the first real-world applications of CBRS technology, paving the way for future innovations in private networking.

Dan Harkness, CEO of Quantum Wireless, said: ” The Faena Miami Beach is a perennial award-winning luxury resort, known for its VIP clientele and events. Their guests are accustomed to superior service, and we are proud to enable superior mobile connectivity for Faena guests, staff and visitors, “

This deployment not only addresses the immediate need for robust connectivity during high-profile events but also positions the Faena properties as technology leaders in the hospitality industry. By offering a private, high-performance network, they can ensure that their discerning guests receive the same level of excellence in digital connectivity that they expect from every other aspect of their stay.

As we move into an era where seamless, high-speed connectivity is no longer a luxury but a necessity, the Faena Miami Beach is setting a new benchmark. This innovative private network deployment by Quantum Wireless demonstrates how cutting-edge technology can be harnessed to elevate the guest experience in luxury hospitality.

The successful implementation of this advanced network at such a prestigious venue hints at the potential for similar deployments across other high-end properties and event spaces. As CBRS technology continues to evolve and gain traction, we can expect to see more establishments following the Faena’s lead in offering private, secure, and high-performance wireless solutions.
