How is Network Operations Management Different at the Edge?

Edge

The golden age of hyper-scale cloud computing has peaked. At the edge, IT and communications are converging. Workloads are processed at the edge inside of communications networks. They have much greater diversity with bare metal, virtualization, and containers. The network sprawl makes it harder to manage workloads consistently. New players like Platform9, Kaloom, and Rakuten are emerging to develop platforms that manage edge nodes consistently with centralized management.
