Northrop Grumman’s 5G Lab Demonstrates ISR Capabilities

Vertical: Military

Application: 5G connectivity

Ecosystem:  AT&T, Fujitsu

Private Network: 5G

The Northrop Grumman Corporation, an aerospace and defense company, in conjunction with AT&T and Fujitsu, recently showcased advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities in Northrup Grumman’s new 5G lab, incorporating AT&T’s private network and Fujitsu’s Open RAN. The collaboration between the three companies is intended to demonstrate to the US Department of Defense (DoD) the network’s capabilities, transmitting ISR data and video and connecting to the battlefield. The combined effort will enable the rapid deployment of new services and shorten the decision-making timeline for the Joint All-Domain Command and Control. The plan will enable “automation, artificial intelligence (AI), predictive analytics, and machine learning (ML) to deliver informed solutions via a resilient and robust network environment.”
