Nokia is deploying at AngloGold Ashanti in Colombia an ultra-low latency 5G private network with 1 Gbps speed in the 3.5 Ghz spectrum band powered by Nokia AirScale 5G portfolio. The project will test four mining use cases, including mission-critical communications, connectivity and remote teleoperation of vehicles, mining machinery and systems, and inspection and monitoring with drones and high-definition cameras.
